Last December it became apparent that the application to build on the field in front of Court was being put forward again. A similar application was withdrawn in 2009 when it became apparent that it would be refused in relation to 11 points.

The Pembrey Village Action Group [P.V.A.G.] was formed to oppose this development that in our view desecrates the historic setting of Court. The land identified for the development, was included in the Unitary Development Plan, on appeal and although initially for 50 houses, it is now the pan for 100 dwellings to be built.
The P.V.A.G. have been active in trying to determine whether the 11 issues for refusal have been resolved, this is a very drawn out process and they are awaiting the planning application hearing, this date has not yet been decided.
The Friends of Court Farm have submitted a formal opposition to the development to the Planning Officer. Court is one of the most significant unrestored houses in Wales and ranks amongst the top 5% of important buildings in Wales – this development will swamp the building as the photographs show.
